The best five minutes of the week.
Kids almost never get mail of their own. For a whole season, they get a story that's about them.
On letter day, a race to the mailbox.
The envelope has their name on it, a stamp, and a dragon that's been looking for them.
Every night, "read it again."
Five minutes on paper, with pictures and a map to follow along. No screen, no autoplay.

Letter one brings a fold-out map of their world, a sheet of badge stickers and their own Courier ID card. Every letter comes with a field page of puzzles, and one choice on it changes what happens next.

The first-letter promise
Read letter one together. If your kid isn't excited for letter two, email within 14 days and we'll refund the whole order. No forms, no arguing.
Every story is planned by a person, so new families start in small batches. Brothers and sisters can join the same story for $29 each, or get their own separate letters for $59.
It started with letters to my own two boys.
Every week I'd put a letter in the mailbox from inside a story we were living together. Watching them race out to check the mail is the reason this exists.
Paper Dragon Post is a small shop. Each story is planned for one kid and read line by line before it's mailed. To be straightforward about it: I use AI tools to help draft the letters and paint the illustrations. The worlds, the choices about your kid's story, and the final check are mine.
Mark, founder
Things parents ask first.
What ages is this for?
About 4 to 10. Younger kids love having it read to them. Older kids read it themselves. The form asks which, so the writing fits your kid.
Can my kid listen to the letters?
Yes. Every letter is read aloud by the letter writer in your kid's Quarters, and Flick reads his own P.S. The code on each field page goes straight to it.
Can we send the crew a drawing?
Yes. Snap a photo of a drawing in the Quarters and send it to the crew. It might turn up pinned to a wall in the next letter. Drawings only, please, no photos of people.
Can we keep the whole adventure?
Yes. After letter 6 you can order a hardcover keepsake book with every letter, the field pages and the map, with your kid's name on the cover, for $49.
Is it really different for every kid?
The world is shared: the same map, characters, and big mystery. What your kid does there, who comes along, and the details woven in are written for your child from your answers. Try the sample above to see it change.
How do the choices work?
Every letter comes with a field page: a search-and-find, a puzzle, and one question with three answers to circle, like which tool to carry or which path to take. Your kid circles one, then you tap the same answer in their online Quarters. The next letter is written to follow it. If no choice comes in, Flick picks, and the story keeps going.
Is this a subscription?
No. You pay once and nothing renews. If your kid wants more when the season ends, you can add the next one.
When does the first letter arrive?
The welcome packet and first letter are mailed within about a week of your form, then a new letter every other week. Delivery time depends on the Postal Service.
What does it arrive in?
The welcome packet and first letter come in a real red-and-blue airmail envelope. Letters two through six come from our print partner in a plain white envelope, with Flick's postmark showing through the window. The magic is inside.
Is there screen time?
The story itself is all on paper. The online Quarters is an optional extra: a map, badges, and printables you can visit together, plus one tap to send in your kid's story choice.
What if my kid doesn't love it?
Email within 14 days of letter one and we'll refund the full order.
Can I send it as a gift?
Yes. Letters go to the kid's address, you pick the start date, and we tuck your note into the welcome packet. You can also add a line that the letter writer weaves into the story. Order by December 5 for the packet to arrive before the holidays. From December 6 to 24, order as usual and print a gift certificate to wrap; the letters start in January.
I have more than one kid.
Add a brother or sister to the same story as a fellow apprentice for $29 each at checkout. They're named in every letter and get their own Courier ID card. If you'd rather each child have their own separate letters, it's $59 per extra kid.
Is any of it scary?
There's a little adventure tension, but it never lasts more than a letter or two, and it's written for bedtime. You can also tell us anything to avoid.
Do you use AI?
Yes, to help draft letters and create illustrations. A person plans each kid's story and reads every letter before it's mailed.
What happens to the information I share?
It's used to write and mail your letters and nothing else. It's never sold. See the privacy policy.
Where do you mail?
United States addresses only for now.
